Inspired by Isekai Anime, Old School RPGs and many other Roguelikes and Roguelites.
You've met an untimely demise, and have found yourself Reincarnated in another World! However, things might be harder than they should have been...
Journey across lands as you encounter allies, enemies and obstacles! However, each time you fail, you return a year later, to try again! Trapped in the cycle of rebirth, is there anything we can do to stop history repeating itself?

Semi-Procedural RPG Roguelike/lite with Meta Narrative content between runs.

What's Next?
DLRL will continue to be updated, now the Jam has ended the 0.2 build has replaced the Jam build with some much needed QoL improvements, 10 new Skills and various bug fixes.
Future improvements will include:
- New unlockable Characters
- Expanded quests for adding to your party during a run, and unlocking them as a starting Character.
- Character XP
- Light Meta progression mechanic that unlocks new starting templates for existing Characters. These won't be substantially stronger, but will offer different starting Stats, Stat Progression and both starting and available Skills.
- Equipment
- Relic style equipment that can be assigned to and equipped by each Character. These will be limited in number, but will focus on Mechanical changes as opposed to Statistical changes where possible.
- Additional Areas
- Initially 3 Acts were planned, that would culminate in the Demon Lord Castle Encounter. Including the option of different starting Acts, as well as different paths through Acts 2 and 3.
- We plan to implement the missing Acts, as well as make them offer different Combat, Exploration and Narrative challenges.
We'd love to hear any feedback on the balance, bugs and general experience!
Game Jam
Originally made by a team of 2 in a week and a half. This project was really fun to make from scratch! It's a bit rough around the edges, but it was excellent fun to develop these systems and art assets into a fairly complete game!
As always, feature creep and overscoping were the constant enemy. I thought 2 weeks to make a Roguelike would be loads of time! In the end, I would have liked for there to be more Acts and Content so that the difficulty curve and progression could have been a little smoother. Or dampened an unlucky runs rolls.
Post Jam, we intend to clean up the UI, improve the sound design and VFX, and to add a lot more content!
